2012 Season - Week 24 (Cont)
All-Time Leading Points Scorer
There is no change in the top 17 in the Official All-Time Leading Points scorer with Chief remains top and Johnnie second but Daz is just 25 points behind fifth place Cheryl after his Championship year. On average Chief has scored 540.2pts per season, with Johnnie (531.9) remaining second and Wayne third (516.4). Craig remains fourth and Mark fifth despite their disappointing seasons. Johnnie remains the all-time leading regular season points scorer with Chief still second. On average Johnnie has 477.8 points per regular season, Chief (470.7) moved up to second and Wayne (460.9) moved up one to third as Craig (457.5) dropped two spots to fourth. Highest climber was Aaron who overtook Dave G, Phil and John to move up to 17th. Despite only scoring six points in the playoffs, Chief remains the highest post-season scorer with Mark second and Daz third. See the attached sheet.
Free Agency
The player merry-go-round starts on March 12th and as of today Joe Flacco remains the key free agent available but the Ravens are working on a new deal for him. Though not a free agent that will surely make Alex Smith the best QB available this year as San Francisco are likely to look to trade him. He was the third highest rated QB in the league before getting concussed in week 10. The Giants have now cut RB Ahmad Bradshaw deciding the future is with a much cheaper David Wilson. Meantime there have been some rumours of a trade in the NFC North between Green Bay and Minnesota for possible free agent receivers Greg Jennings and Percy Harvin. Other rumours have Jennings being re-united with Miami rookie head coach Joe Philbin and Harvin replacing Wes Welker in New England. Climb aboard the Merry-Go-Round is about to begin. After that all unfolds we will hopefully be gathering to see the 2013 Draft, which happens on April 25th to 27th. That should be the next official BUMS gathering, more details nearer the time.
